This summer we welcomed over 400 people to Camperdown Park for the Hope For Families Summer Festival — and what a day it was.
From the moment the gates opened, the park filled with the sound of Afrobeats, children's laughter and the smell of jollof rice and grilled chicken drifting across the grass. It was, without question, our most joyful event to date.
A community that shows up
What makes this festival special is not the food or the music — though both were outstanding. It is the people. Families who arrived in Dundee without knowing a soul, who are now hosting barbecue spots and introducing new arrivals to their neighbours. Young people who attended our STEM Club as nervous seven-year-olds, now helping to run the children's activity tent.
We are so grateful to every volunteer, sponsor, and community member who made the day possible. You are the reason Hope For Families exists.
